Assemblage for Three Pianos is a new musical performance and composition for three pianos based on the musical works of a wide swath of Houston bands, composers and musicians. Details and melodies from 72 works by these artists have been distilled into small variations by local artist Anthony Barilla. These variations will then be performed simultaneously on three pianos in a constant cycle that will last for three hours, resulting in an ambient sonic tapestry drawn from Houston’s rich and diverse musical community.
