Eighteen years ago, Tacos A Go Go quietly opened its doors on Houston’s Main Street. No fanfare, no grand opening—just a tiny Tex-Mex taqueria ready to serve.

Slowly but surely, one taco at a time, the word got out: these tacos are the real deal. What makes them authentic? It’s all thanks to our chef, Mari Gomez. A native of Hidalgo, Mexico, Mari started cooking at just six years old for her large family. Back home, everything was made from scratch—a tradition she’s brought to our kitchen.
