Addressing Homelessness

Our Approach

  • Partnerships – Collaborating with key organizations such as SEARCH Homeless Services, the Coalition for the Homeless, and the Houston Police Department’s Homeless Outreach Team (HOT) to provide comprehensive support.
  • Supportive Housing – Investing over $8 million in housing projects that include wrap-around services to address mental health, employment, and other stability barriers.

Supportive Housing Initiatives

  • Law Harrington Center – 112 units for LGBTQ seniors with on-site social services and a primary health care clinic.
  • Reward Third Ward – 72 multi-family units for single mothers.
  • Temenos Community Development Corporation – Proven track record of providing permanent supportive housing since 2006.
  • New Hope Housing’s Gray Project – 120 units for seniors just east of Emancipation Blvd. and Gray St.
