Camera Grant Program

Partnering with SentriForce to Make Midtown Safer

Midtown Management District is committed to supporting public safety through strategic investments—and now, eligible commercial property and business owners can apply for grant funding to install high-quality surveillance cameras.

This cost-sharing program is designed to deter crime, assist law enforcement investigations, and support community-led safety initiatives across Midtown Houston.

Applicants are responsible for providing electricity at the installation site. The District may photograph the property for documentation purposes.

What’s Included

  • One SentriForce Mobile Security Camera, fully installed and maintained for up to six (6) months at no cost to the applicant (covered by Midtown Management District).
  • Professional equipment provided and maintained by Sentriforce
  • Integration with local law enforcement to help improve area-wide safety

How to Apply

  1. Download and complete the  PDF Application Form
  2. Ensure a Trespass Affidavit is on file with HPD
  3. Familiarize yourself with Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design (CPTED) principles
  4. Submit all materials via email to [email protected] or in person to Midtown Management District at 410 Pierce Street, Suite 355, Houston, Texas 77002. If submitting in person, please ask for the Public Safety Department to ensure your application reaches the appropriate team. No mail-in applications accepted.

Note: All applications will be reviewed using a scoring system based on location need, security impact, and community benefit.

Eligibility Requirements

  • Property must be within the Midtown Management District boundaries See Midtown Management District Boundaries
  • The applicant must provide notarized proof that they are the legal property owner or an authorized representative, and that the property owner consents to the installation of cameras on the property.
  • Must agree to share footage with law enforcement if requested
  • Cameras must be positioned in a manner that serves a clear public purpose, such as enhancing safety and security in public-facing areas.

Program Prioritization

Applications will be evaluated using a point-based scoring sheet. Sites in areas with higher crime rates, existing safety concerns, or strategic visibility will receive priority.
