The Urban Planning Committee ensures Midtown Houston remains a hub for mixed-use development and pedestrian-friendly enhancements. Their focus is on maintaining the area’s unique character and advocating for improvements to support walkability and biking. The Committee also:

  • Collaborates with businesses, developers, residents, and other entities to encourage enhancements that are consistent with the unique urban character of Midtown Houston.   • Advocates for an urban, pedestrian and bike-friendly environment.
  • Collaborates with the Midtown Redevelopment Authority to create, restore, preserve and enhance the usability, scenic and aesthetic elements of the community.
