Save the Date: Two of Midtown Houston’s Biggest Events Are Just Around the Corner

Spring is in the air and we are ready to spend it outdoors with you. Midtown Houston wants to invite you to have fun in the sun with two very special events that are free and great to enjoy with the entire family, even your furry friends are invited too.

Art in the Park

Join us for the annual Midtown Art in the Park fine art festival featuring local and regional artists with works for sale. The festival brings the cultural arts and entertainment community together. Browse works from some of the finest artists in town, talk to them about their inspiration and technique, and purchase original art.

Jam out to live music from Evelyn Rubio,  Eric Demmer Band, Mango Punch! And don’t miss your photo-opp in front of our Instagram Cube Pop Up Site by Exquisite Details by Raquel.

The festival is hosted at Elizabeth Baldwin Park on April 6 from 10 am to 6 pm. Enjoy art, DIY projects, and shopping from local vendors while you snack on delicious treats, all at a free family event! The event will be in conjunction with our Midtown Farmers Market.

Lounge on the Lawn

You’ll also want to check out Lounge on the Lawn for tons of fun outdoor activities like lawn games, music and chalk art. Now in its second year, the event will feature diverse cuisine and family-friendly fun on the lush 30,000 square foot lawn at Midtown Park. There will be yoga from YOUniverSOUL Fest, a photo booth, caricature drawings by Tom Rye, face painting, karaoke and a showing of the movie Black Panther.

There will be tasty food from vendors like Rich Boy Po’ Boy and Krave Funnel Cones. Plus, you can even paint and sip with Painting With a Twist or bring your furry friend for Doga (dog yoga) taught by Lili Tanil. There will also be a meet up for pups hosted by Freddie the Red Frenchie.

There’s so much to do at this fantastic event on Saturday, April 27th from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m. The Midtown Park Parking Garage, located directly below the park, provides 400 spaces for public use and boasts round-the-clock security.

Connecting with the Midtown Houston community in a beautiful green setting has never been easier. Let us know what’s getting you excited for spring @MidtownHOU.
