Throughout October you can support both women winemakers and affordable housing for women undergoing breast cancer treatment by sampling from a rotating list of exquisite wines.

It’s all happening soon at Midtown Houston wine bar and lounge 13 celsius, where they’re hosting a month long fundraiser for Suites of Hope that features female-crafted wine.

Support Suites of Hope at 13 celsius in Midtown Houston

October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, which is why it’s such a perfect time to sample and sip to an admirable cause. 13 Celsius has chosen to partner with Suites of Hope because the organization is an integral resource for women in the Houston area.

The local nonprofit ensures breast cancer patients who travel to Houston for MD Anderson clinical trials have a place to stay.

The fundraiser at 13 celsius features 13 different wines made by female winemakers or winery owners. A percentage of the proceeds from glasses or bottles of red, white and rose wines will go directly to Suites of Hope.

This dual-purpose event is also designed to shed a light on women entering the winemaking profession – a traditionally male dominated field. Their decision can be risky, but many are successfully breaking down barriers.
