Teach You Tuesday: Change is Brewing

In keeping with Midtown Houston’s Teach You Tuesday tradition, the first Tuesday of August invites you to explore and learn something new about beer. If craft brewing has ever crossed your mind as a hobby, now is your chance to learn from skilled local brewmasters at Under the Radar Brewery. 

To raise awareness about the injustices faced by people of color, Under the Radar Brewery has joined brewers around the world in a collaborative movement to give back. They’re making a special Black is Beautiful brew to show that the brewing community is an inclusive place for everyone. All proceeds from their limited edition brew will go to 100 Black Men of Houston which aims  to empower others to become self-sufficient shareholders in the economic fabric of the communities in which they serve.

Once you’ve learned the ins and outs of crafting delicious beers of your own, you can support a local restaurant. Order a few ice-cold brews from Under the Radar for curbside pickup and enjoy a 15% discount off a Gypsy Poet pizza– an offer exclusively extended to Teach You Tuesday participants.

So tune in to the live event at 5:30pm on Tuesday the 4th, for a few of our favorite things: beer, pizza, and pitching in for positive change.
