Close out the summer with Get Ready!, a soulful stage production that explores the joys, challenges, and cultural shifts African American musicians faced as music evolved from 1950s doo-wop into mainstream pop and R&B. Written by Jaye T. Stewart and Joe Plummer, the show follows The Doves, a fictional music group preparing for a comeback as they chase the magic of their glory days and help The Ensemble Theatre “get ready” to celebrate its 50th Anniversary season.
