Since its opening in 2003, this 30,000 square foot park has been a cherished gathering spot, reflecting the Midtown Redevelopment Authority’s commitment to enhancing urban living. With its lush, shaded lawn surrounded by Mexican sycamores and Shumard red oaks, Bagby Park offers a refreshing escape for Midtown residents and visitors.
Whether you’re lounging on the grass, snapping photos with the iconic Midtown letters in the background, enjoying live music or indulging in a savory bite from La Calle Tacos, Bagby Park caters to every lifestyle.
Renovated in Spring 2021, Bagby Park now boasts upgraded amenities, including enhanced restrooms, improved drainage, and additional perimeter lighting for safety and visibility. The park features a new canopy and extra lighting for the stage, making it a prime venue for outdoor performances and community events like the Midtown Mistletoe Market and movie nights. A repurposed shipping container serves as the home of La Calle Tacos bar and restaurant.
Bagby Park is easily accessible for pedestrians, cyclists, and motorists. The park offers metered parking along Brazos, Gray, and Bagby Streets, with two convenient parking garages nearby.
