who we are

The Midtown Parks Conservancy (MPC), a non-profit organization established in 2013, is dedicated to enhancing Midtown Houston through the creation and upkeep of beautiful, accessible green spaces. As a key partner of the Midtown Redevelopment Authority (MRA) and Midtown Management District (MMD), MPC oversees the maintenance and operations of several MRA-owned facilities, including Midtown Park, Midtown Park Plaza, the Midtown Park Parking Garage, Bagby Park and the Bagby Park Kiosk. It also manages MRA’s offices and maintains public right-of-way improvements, such as streetscape enhancements on Bagby, Main, Elgin, and Holman streets.

In addition to its maintenance responsibilities, MPC fosters community engagement by organizing park programming and events at Midtown Park, Midtown Park Plaza, and Bagby Park, as well as at City of Houston parks like Baldwin and Glover Parks. Through these activities, MPC plays a vital role in making Midtown a vibrant neighborhood where residents and visitors can explore, relax, and connect.
