Midtown Houston has always been a vibrant canvas for artistic and cultural expression. This year, we’re thrilled to announce the launch of the 2024 MidtownHOU Arts Micro Grants, designed to support artists and arts organizations in celebrating our community’s cultural diversity. Under the theme “Cultural Kaleidoscope,” we’re seeking projects that paint a picture of Midtown’s rich heritage and envision a future where global cultures connect through the arts.
We’re looking for projects in music, dance, theater, visual arts, or creative writing that promote inclusivity and bring people together. The goal is to produce art that not only captivates but leaves a lasting impression on the Midtown community.
Grant Details
The Midtown Cultural Arts District is offering a total of $30,000 in grant funding:
- Two grants of $5,000 are available for arts organizations.
- Eight grants of $2,500 are available for individual artists.
This is an opportunity for artists and organizations to propose projects in Midtown that can inspire and engage the community long-term. We are especially interested in initiatives that go beyond one-time events and can grow into sustainable cultural programs in Midtown.
