Giving Tuesday: 5 Nonprofits Creating Change in Midtown Houston

Giving Tuesday is a moment to reflect on what matters and take action to support it. Midtown Houston is home to many local nonprofits tackling big challenges with creativity, compassion, and a deep commitment to community. This year, we’re spotlighting five organizations making a lasting impact, from hunger relief to cultural preservation, as a way to celebrate the powerful work happening right here in your neighborhood.

Interfaith Ministries for Greater Houston

Founded to serve Houstonians experiencing homelessness and hunger, Bread of Life has expanded its work to include educational and workforce programs, health resources, and emergency services. Your donation helps individuals and families gain stability, self-sufficiency, and renewed hope.

This Giving Tuesday, Bread of Life is hosting its second annual Stop, Shop & Give event in support of its year-long Table for All fundraiser, which provides food and essential supplies to families in need. The event takes place Tuesday, December 2, from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM and includes BOL Bucks giveaways, raffles, and food donation opportunities. Supporters can shop, drop off non-perishables, or simply stop by to give and connect with the community.
