Have an Open Conversation With a Local Police Officer at Upcoming Midtown Houston Coffee With a Cop Event

Coffee is a daily habit that many of us love to indulge in. It gets us energized or provides comfort when we need reassurance. It also makes for great common ground when you have the chance to chat openly with a police officer about your concerns, questions or shared interests.

Join us at Midtown Houston’s upcoming ‘Coffee with a Cop’ event to get to know the men and women who serve your community.

And did we mention there will be popsicles…?

Midtown Houston’s Coffee With a Cop Event Opens Up Communication

The goal of Midtown Houston’s ‘Coffee with a Cop’ event is to encourage empathy and understanding in our community. Head to Bagby Park on your lunch break Friday, August 18th for an hour long opportunity to get to know a local cop. The event lasts from 12pm to 1pm, so there’s plenty of time to discuss issues and learn more about each other.

Why It’s Important to Discuss Issues That Matter

Doctor up your coffee and engage in real conversations on what matters most to your comfort and security. You can also keep it casual by simply learning more about the people committed to your safety. Both options break down the barriers between police officers and the citizens they serve.

This is also an opportunity for you to meet the new District Security Coordinator, Mark Leija, along with public safety officers from the Houston Police Department, Houston Metro Transit Authority Police Department, Harris County Constable Precinct 7 and S.E.A.L. Security Solutions, LLC. This means you’ll get to speak with cops who represent Midtown Houston and beyond.

Plus, if you’re not a coffee person there will still be plenty of treats to enjoy at a KICPOPS cart offering fresh handcrafted popsicles.
