Top 5 Outdoor Events in Midtown Houston You’ll Love This Fourth of July Holiday Week

Honor and enjoy Independence Day by exploring Midtown Houston’s proud American history during one of our many curated events.

Whether you’re celebrating this star-spangled holiday week among family over the grille or with friends by the pool, there are tons of events happening right here in Midtown that will spice up your usual traditions. Kick things off by recognizing those who serve in Bagby Park alongside young, patriotic Houstonians on the 4th of July or join us at one of our most iconic green spaces, Elizabeth Baldwin Park, for a Sunday Funday ideal for the whole family.

Here are the events you’ll love this week:

  1. A Patriotic Gathering at the Park

At it’s heart, this event was created to honor those who have fought and made sacrifices to keep Americans safe. Veterans, Police Officers and Firefighters/First Responders, as well as affiliate organizations, will be in attendance to represent their inspiring purpose.

This 4th of July event unites the youth of America, promotes civic engagement and fosters community leaders. Celebration features include a DJ, food, elected officials as special guest speakers and an opportunity to network. Organizers will also be live streaming the entire event on YouTube. Show your support for America’s heroes at 4 pm in Bagby Park. Click here to RSVP.

  1. Wind Down at Wine Down

Wind down from your busy work week with country music from the Justin Taylor Band and enjoy happy hour specials at Rico’s Morning + Noon + Night. 1. Strengthen Your Body and Mind

Feeling the positive aftereffects of passion and energy experienced in the wake of July Fourth fireworks? Keep your mindset elevated and take advantage of the motivational holiday boost at Midtown in Motion, a free fitness series open to people of all experience levels. 1. Bring the Whole Team to Second Sunday

Join our monthly, free family-friendly series at Elizabeth Baldwin Park. Second Sunday is an engaging two hours of pop and funk music from Prodigy + The Pantheon, food trucks, lawn games and giveaways. The event is held on July 9th from 2:00pm to 4:00pm. Don’t miss out!
