June is the perfect summer month in Midtown Houston – not too hot but getting there. While summer is still relatively new, we can appreciate the sunshine. This month, get outside in Bagby Park with free, family friendly activities for multiple helpings of mood boosting Vitamin D.

June Bagby Park Programming
Our minds and bodies are always looking for something new to experience. Visit Bagby Park on June 19 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. for a Teach You Tuesday fitness class. You’ll learn BollyX and work out with Bollywood-inspired dance moves.
Next up on the schedule is Midtown in Motion, which will take place Saturday June 9 and June 23 from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. These two hours of exercise from featured instructor Roz Jones will wake you up and motivate you for the rest of the weekend and week to follow. Participate in High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) and yoga all in one morning.
Later in the afternoon on June 9, settle in with a blanket or fold-out chair for Live at Lunch from 12:30 p.m. to 2 p.m. Grab a filling meal (to make up for all those burned calories) at Rico’s Morning + Noon + Night while listening to live R&B from Six Minutes Til Sunrise.
Round out this full docket of movement and entertainment with Yappy Hour on Friday, June 22 from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Enjoy bonding time with your pet at happy hour in Bagby Park’s dog park. There will be drinks for you, treats for your pet, contests and more.
