The Urban Planning Committee is responsible for ensuring that Midtown Houston is the epicenter for mixed-use development and pedestrian enhancements, including improvements to accommodate those who choose to get around by walking or biking. The Committee also:

Collaborates with businesses, developers, residents, and other entities to encourage enhancements that are consistent with the unique urban character of Midtown Houston. Advocates for an urban, pedestrian and bike-friendly environment.
Collaborates with the Midtown Redevelopment Authority to create, restore, preserve and enhance the usability, scenic and aesthetic elements of the community.
