Elizabeth Glover Park

Glover Park – Midtown’s charming park made with dog lovers in mind

Discover a puppy oasis in the heart of Midtown Houston at the intersection of Elgin Street and Austin Street. Elizabeth Glover Park serves as both a serene retreat for the surrounding community and a playful paradise for our furry friends. The park is owned by the City of Houston and programmed and maintained by Midtown Houston.

Just a few blocks away from the MetroRail, Glover Park offers pedestrians, dog owners, and pups alike a moment of respite from the hustle and bustle. Dog owners can find comfort in the fenced-in play area designed specifically for their furry companions, separate from the lush grassy areas. During the Houston summer, the green space and shaded stage area offer the perfect escape in a relaxing setting.

The park hosts a free-to-attend, pet-friendly “Yappy Hour,” which includes doggie playdates, treats, giveaways, contests, and prizes.

We kindly request that dogs remain leashed when not in the designated play areas and that we all help keep the park clean and enjoyable for everyone by picking up after our furry companions.
