Get involved in your community! Ms.Cora Garcia, St. Assistant City Attorney, will speak about the City of Houston’s authority to file nuisance actions pursuant to Chapter 125 of the Civil Practice and Remedies Code against entities like massage parlors, motels, clubs, apartments, and any establishment that meets the criteria established by Chapter 125.  Chapter 125 allows a City Attorney to bring a common nuisance cause of action against an owner and, if applicable, an operator, of a property, as well as an action against the property where excessive crime is occurring. Bring your neighbors!
