Juneteenth Artist Talk with Chris Robinson: Midtown Sign Wrap Design

Leading up to the 2023 Juneteenth holiday, the iconic Midtown sign at Bagby Park will be wrapped in a design by artist Chris Robinson. The artwork will pay homage to the historically Black communities in Houston- Third Ward, Fourth Ward (Freedmen’s Town), Fifth Ward, Independence Heights, Acres Homes, Sunnyside, and South Park. Join us and meet the artist as he discusses his artwork, which highlights the neighborhoods and each’s positive impact on Houston’s rich, vibrant culture. Click here to RSVP.
