Grab a helmet and join us for a group ride that combines the health benefits of biking with the fun of exploring the city. The popularity of biking is experiencing a resurgence in Houston as the area becomes more friendly to gas-free wheels.

We’ve teamed up with BikeHouston to host the Midtown Graffiti Bike Ride on Sunday, April 22 at 11 am. BikeHouston is an organization that’s working to transform Houston with more and safer bikeways. They’re involved in advocacy for bicyclists, community education and collaborating with Houston police to protect road users.

Our upcoming graffiti bike ride is an interactive way to get in on the bike riding spirit and support BikeHouston. Here’s why:

Sightsee by Bike in Midtown Houston

If you’re itching to see Midtown Houston from a whole new perspective, make your way via bike to Midtown Park for this free midday bike adventure. We’ll cover 10-15 miles in around two hours, giving riders of all levels plenty of time to sightsee. We’ll check out the colorful graffiti murals and soaking in unique sights in Midtown Houston and the Third Ward.

We’ll also pass by the Cigna Sunday streets in the Third ward, an open stretch of roadway usually meant for cars that is reserved specially for bikers, walkers, dancers and more. We’ll end the ride at the Earth Day Celebration taking place at Discovery Green. Park your bike at the free bike valet hosted by BikeHouston, grab a snack at a food truck, and enjoy the free, live entertainment.

Midtown Houston is the most bikeable district in Houston with eight BCycle stations, the city’s first green box, and a dedicated bicycle lane on Holman St.. We hope this event encourages you to break out the two-wheeler or try a new way of getting around more often.
