MIDTOWN FEATURE PROJECT

Baldwin Park

Completed
100%

Location: 1701 Elgin St

Elizabeth Baldwin Park, a 4.8 acre park located within the Midtown neighborhood, is an active and passive recreational space for the surrounding community. This historic park, acquired by the City of Houston in 1905, was designed with a lawn and picnic area, and planted with stately oak trees that still stand there today.

Improvements to Baldwin Park honor the original design of the area dating back to the early 1900s. Historic elements preserved at the site include the 100-year-old oak trees and the original fountain. Residents and visitors can enjoy new programming at the park, available for people of all ages within the community as well as increased lighting and visibility. Baldwin Park is sure to be yet another great destination within Midtown.
