Focus Groups/ Listening Sessions – Preliminary inquiry used to discover and organize what we addressed in public information sessions. We sought to identify language, values, and issues of concern with the assessment payors in the District. We intentionally created an opportunity for small, intimate, safe groups focused on each type of assessment payor in the District so that we developed more concise communications and inquiries to the larger groups. The focus groups/ listening sessions did not identify or represent any plans for the 2025 10-year service plan. This phase focused only on inquiry.
A qualitative assessment implemented in 5 listening sessions with 30+ core stakeholders from September 20 – 27, 2023. These sessions identified more than 100 insights related to the MMD Service Plan. Also, a QR Code and link were provide in the annual assessment billing with access to the Midtown Community Wide Survey. The Qualtrics based survey was designed for the Midtown community to have the opportunity to shape the trajectory of the neighborhood. The survey was distributed from October 6 – November 19, 2023, via Qualtrics and had more than 150 respondents provided insights.
This qualitative and quantitative data allowed for data-informed decision making in the plan.
