Take the Stress Out of Gift Shopping for Dad at Midtown Houston’s First Father’s Day Market

More than any other person in the family, dad is the hardest to shop for. Though his interests are expansive, it always seems like he already has everything he wants. This means that you’ve likely spent ages searching for gifts that won’t feel hackneyed or thoughtless. Gifts that will show him how much you care without wiping out your bank account or taking up an excessive amount of time.

This year, Midtown Houston is hosting our first Father’s Day Market so that you can discover unique and affordable gifts in one convenient spot. The inaugural event means dapper style, quirky art and a truly unparalleled outdoor shopping experience.

Unique Father’s Day Gifts Dad Will Cherish

Topping the list of fantastic gifts for dad are local favorites Harambee Art Gallery and Bug in the Box. Both live up to their reputations by providing popular community gift staples that defy expectation and celebrate the environment.

Harambee Art Gallery will offer art and hand-painted ties from environmental artist Charles Washington, perfect for enlivening dad’s office or work space.

Bug in the Box’s ethically-sourced, handmade insect shadowboxes will delight any dad who appreciates quirkiness and the natural world.

There will also be options for dads with athletic sensibilities. Topgolf will provide swing analysis, branded tents and details on their summer golf program. They will also take reservations for dad to improve his golfing technique at the Topgolf facility.

Affordable and Convenient Midtown Houston Shopping

We’ve created this Father’s Day pop-up market because we know how much this community values alternative forms of transportation. You can easily walk or bike to the market and shop for dad free from the exhaustion of driving far distances.

This means you can devote as much or as little time as you want to selecting gifts like 3D pop art metal sculptures from Yes We Create It, drawings and paintings from artist Joel Stanulonis, modern stainless steel cufflinks from Reverse Cufflinks and fine cigars from The Smoke Ring.

The market is designed to satisfy attendees with any budget. Prices will start at $10 and we’ve even made sure that special attention will be given to packaging. No detail has been overlooked in ensuring this event is a precise fit with Midtown Houston’s primary shopping needs.

Eat, Drink and Be Merry at Bagby Park

You can visit the event at Bagby Park located at 415 Gray St. on Friday, June 9th from 11am to 7pm. Explore the green space with a refreshing, organically sweetened and handcrafted popsicle from Kicpops. Then, when you get peckish you can hop on over to Rico’s Morning + Noon + Night (situated on the corner of Gray St. and Bagby St.) for food and drinks.

Remove the stress from shopping by visiting Midtown Houston’s Father’s Day Market. Dad won’t be able to stop smiling when he sees the special something you’ve picked out just for him.
