April in Midtown: Free Events that Celebrate Wellness, Creativity, and Community

April is a vibrant time in Midtown Houston, and this month’s events reflect the energy of the season. From movement and mindfulness to music and visual art, Midtown’s parks will host a wide range of free events that invite residents and visitors to connect with each other and the neighborhood.

All events are open to the public, and many are family-friendly. Here  are 8 events happening in our community this April:

  1. Teach You Tuesday
    Explore your creative side at Teach You Tuesday. This hands-on class is designed for adults 18+ to learn a new craft or technique. All supplies are provided.

  2. Zumba in Midtown
    Get moving with a high-energy Zumba class in the heart of Midtown. No experience is necessary—just bring a water bottle and be ready to dance.

    This 45-minute High-Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) session is led by Roz Jones and includes a mix of cardio, strength training, and music.
